About

PT's treating knee pain in Atlanta

Foundation Physical Therapy was founded with a mission: to reimagine what physical therapy can be.

Injuries and pain are a fact of life. But physical therapy should be more than just managing pain. Our goal is to educate and empower you to become curious about how your body works, so that you have the knowledge and confidence to live above your injury.

We are here to give you the foundation you need to build a better you.

Premier Physical Therapist in Atlanta

Dr. Matthew MacLeod

Physical Therapist | PT, DPT, OCS, ATC, CSCS

Dr. Matthew is a physical therapist who specializes in orthopedics, athletic training, and concussion management. An Atlanta native, he opened Foundation Physical Therapy after a severe car accident made him realize that the standard physical therapy model is not designed to provide the holistic care most people need to truly heal.

He is passionate about understanding how the mind and body work together to develop new neural pathways, increasing body awareness and accelerating recovery. His past research includes conceptual concussion rehabilitation and decreasing fall risk for the neurological deficit and geriatric populations.

Dr. Matthew lives in Kirkwood with his wife and young daughter. When not treating patients, he enjoys woodworking and exploring hiking trails in North Georgia.
